I am making a complaint on Lillian, the manager of the Integrated Stroke Unit. She has been failing to return my calls, inquiries etc. We arrived a few weeks ago to see my mother who was admitted just before Christmas, to be turned around when they told us we cant see her as she has Covid. No one called to inform us she had covid, when we called to inquire how she was and what happened we received nothing back from the manager, eventually, we spoke to another nurse that said she actually didn’t have covid and she wasn’t sure why we were told that. we went to go see her and was turned around again stating she was in isolation because she was in contact.
Yesterday my father when to visit her ( all our visits were scheduled appropriately and ahead of time) He found someone else in her room and was told they moved her somewhere else the nurse wasn’t really sure where but she got an address which was incorrect and we have been trying to reach the manger again with no returns on our inquires or messages. After spending all night and all day trying to track my mother down and getting nowhere ( everyone continuously told me she have no one in their list with that name and they couldn’t help me. I finally found her and spoke to the new manager of where she was and it was sorted out. I had to take a day off work to search for her. Finally, after complaining about the first manager she called me back at 12:30 pm today and was extremely rude and insensitive. she told me I’m lucky they didn’t move my mom across the country and if my father didn’t know how to use a door buzzer that’s his own fault ( they gave him n address to the wrong location as i told her but she said that wasn’t her problem). She spoke down to me insinuating they aren’t at fault for forgetting to call us and tell us they transported my mother to a secondary location and that we were stupid for not understanding there was a possibility for transportation.
This is only the final straw for me with Lillian there has been other issues of her and how she has treated my mother, her illness and her lack of communication with our family.
