I was admitted to ICU of Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Oakville on Sunday February 6th and diagnosed for heart attack and sent to Missisauga Trillium hospital for stent implants on Monday . On returning back next day I spent the day in ICU and later shifted to normal room as advised by cardiologist. I was informed that there were no vacant rooms so I might have to stay in ICU however at around 9pm I was shifted to a normal hospital room . The bed there was terrible and went deflated after a few minutes. I was told it is a fancy bed and they have no other option available. When I asked the attending g nurses they said it is only one night you have to stay therefore stick with it. It was not possible for me to lie down for a few Minutes as the bed deflated after every few minutes.I was told to inflate it after every 30 minutes when it deflates. I requested repeatedly to change and asked why I was given this room when they did not have a proper bed but to no avail and was told to just spend the night. I stayed up whole night because of this shocking scenario with pain due to the stent implant procedure.
I think if they were not able to provide a normal bed they should have sent me home instead of making my night miserable. I have taken pictures of the bed to keep evidence.
Hope someone in authority take notice of this to avoid spoiling repute of this Hospital.
